"The Role of HIV Infection in Childhood Malignancies in Uganda."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the Second Annual Meeting of the Institute of Human Virology, held September 15-21, 1997, in Baltimore, Maryland, "Background: The HIV epidemic was marked by an unprecedented increase in Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) in young homosexual men. As the epidemic evolved, an increase in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma was noted in HIV infected individuals. These increases have invariably occurred wherever the epidemic spreads.
