Foundation Warns of Alarming Lack of Treatment

The May 8, 1998, issue of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) indicated a shocking treatment gap for people with arthritis. When combined with the staggering prevalence statistics reported on May 5, firmly establishes arthritis as a major national health problem needing urgent attention, according to the Arthritis Foundation.
