Evidence Points to Increased Use of At-Home Testing

Home Access Health Corp., Hoffman Estates, Illinois, has called on AIDS service organizations and public health departments to embrace at-home telemedicine as a cost-effective HIV prevention tool.

The company bases its announcement on an article published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). The study was conducted by Dr. Bernard Branson, U.S. Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and documented the effectiveness of anonymous, at-home HIV counseling and testing.
