Study Assesses Cancer Screening Practices

The U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI) announced that it has launched a study to understand how screening for colorectal cancer is being conducted in the United States and to help identify barriers to screening for this common disease and appropriate follow-up.

Investigators from NCI, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Health Care Financing Administration are collaborating to gather for the first time national data on colorectal screening practices.
