Over-the-Counter Nicotine Patch Proves Effective

Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, researcher J. Taylor Hays, MD, and colleagues presented their study findings on this treatment in the November 1999 issue of the American Journal of Public Health ("Over-the-Counter Nicotine Patch Therapy for Smoking Cessation: Results From Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, and Open Label Trials"). The journal is a publication of the American Public Health Association.
