The live-attenuated vaccine (TC-83) for Venezuelan equine encephalitis (VEE) virus is known to protect against subcutaneous and airborne infection, noted S. J. Elvin and colleagues.
Elvin et al. reported that the optimal dose of vaccine required to protect Balb/c mice against aerosol infection with virulent VEE was defined, and the immunological parameters were measured in protected mice.
