FDA Grants Marketing Clearance for a New Treatment

Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation announced that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted marketing clearance for Trileptal (oxcarbazepine) tablets.

Trileptal belongs to the class of drugs known as anticonvulsant or antiepileptic drugs (AEDs). The medication is indicated for the treatment of partial seizures as monotherapy in adults or adjunctive therapy (use in combination with other AEDs) in adults and children as young as 4 years of age.
