Preterm Delivery May Indicate Risk for a Subsequent Preterm Birth

A notable portion of preterm babies are born to mothers with a previous preterm delivery, and mothers who had shorter gestation length for the first delivery were at higher risk for a second preterm baby, according to an article appearing in the March 22/29, 2000, issue of The Journal of the American Medical Association.
