Association Responds to New Report on Trends in Multiples Following Infertility Treatment

Published in Medical Letter on the CDC and FDA, July 30th, 2000

Resolve, the National Infertility Association, following the June 22, 2000, publication of a new study by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), expressed concern over the increasing number of multiple births, especially triplets or higher, following treatment with the assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs), such as in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Resolve urges people needing treatment to seek care from a certified medical physician trained in infertility treatment and reproductive health.
