CDC Verifies at Least One Worker Acquired TB from Medical Waste

Published in Medical Letter on the CDC and FDA, November 26th, 2000

Government investigators at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently verified that at least one of three medical waste treatment workers in Washington State who claimed they acquired tuberculosis while doing their jobs was correct.

A report of that investigation was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
