The Product Quality Research Institute (PQRI) - a first-ever collaborative effort between the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), the pharmaceutical industry, and academia - has identified issues related to the regulation of pharmaceuticals and is carrying out research which will have an impact on the establishment of testing standards and controls for drug products.
