Organization Uses Different Approach to Increase Hepatitis Vaccine Awareness

Hepatitis A virus can be transmitted easily between men having sex with men (MSM). Although public health programs have targeted this at-risk population with vaccine campaigns, the results have been less than desired.

A study presented at the 128th Annual Meeting of the American Public Health Association describes how an organization in Atlanta, Georgia, called AID Atlanta used innovative approaches to reach MSM with information about hepatitis A virus (HAV).
