Aventis Announces Support For Government Emergency Preparedness Efforts

Aventis Pharma AG has offered the U.S. government its support by supplying products, manufacturing capacity, and technical resources to protect Americans against threats of bioterrorism.

In response to a request for information from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Aventis Pharma offered its support in ensuring an adequate supply of smallpox vaccine. In upcoming meetings with administration officials, the company will present its proposal regarding smallpox vaccine, as well as offer scientific and technical support for the development of new vaccines and antibiotic manufacturing...
