King Pharmaceuticals To Increase Production Of Wycillin

King Pharmaceuticals, Inc., (KG) is substantially increasing production of its product Wycillin (penicillin G procaine injectable suspension) in preparation for potential demand to treat people exposed to anthrax. Wycillin, a penicillin G procaine intramuscular injection, currently has an indication on its label for the treatment of anthrax.

"In response to recent events, King has taken the necessary steps to significantly increase the production of Wycillin," said John M. Gregory, chairman and chief executive officer of King.
