New York City Anthrax Search Short On Clues

When even the subways tested negative for anthrax, the search for the source of the germs that killed a New York City hospital clerk seemed to nearly stop in its tracks.

Medical and criminal investigators say they haven't stopped working, but admit they're short on clues and results.

"It certainly is no exaggeration to say that there hasn't been much, or really any, progress,'' FBI spokesman Joseph Valiquette said. It's not for lack of effort.
