U.S.-Mexico project will ensure continuity of treatment for patients crossing the border

Overall tuberculosis (TB) rates are declining in the United States, yet some populations continue to bear the heaviest burden as this ancient disease resists eradication.

A new pilot project between the United States and Mexico, being launched in El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, will help counter this trend but much more remains to be done, according to the American Lung Association.
