Pharmacokinetics of simvastatin in healthy human volunteers reported

A pharmacokinetic and bioequivalence evaluation of two simvastatin tablets (Simvast and Zocor) in healthy human volunteers has been reported in a recent issue of Biopharmaceutics and Drug Disposition.

According to a study from the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Brazil, "The pharmacokinetics of two brands of simvastatin 40-mg tablets were compared in 24 healthy human volunteers after a single oral dose in a randomized cross-over study, conducted at IPRC, Amman, Jordan," reported Naji M. Najib at the International Pharmaceutical Research Centre (IPRC) in Amman, Jordan and collaborators in Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Brazil.
