Ganite maker reports reaching major corporate milestones in third quarter

Genta, Inc., (GNTA) announced financial results for the third quarter of 2003, a period that has been marked by significant milestones in the company's history.

These achievements included:

1) U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval and launch of Ganite (gallium nitrate injection), Genta's first commercial product

2) Announcement of positive results from the company's phase III trial with Genasense (oblimersen sodium) for the treatment of patients with advanced malignant melanoma
