[helv]The article [Doctors announce first NIH-funded AIDS treatment research in Africa, NewsRx November 30, 2003] refers to the antiretroviral drug emtricitabine as having the trade-name Coviracil and as being marketed by Triangle Pharmaceuticals. In fact, emtricitabine, which was approved for marketing by the FDA in July, is sold as Emtriva by Gilead Sciences. Triangle Pharmaceuticals, and with it emtricitabine, was acquired by Gilead Sciences in January 2003.[helv]
