Transmission risk exists from dural graft implantation

Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) needs to be considered in people developing rapidly progressive dementia, particularly if there is a history of dural graft implantation or other neurosurgical procedure, according to a new report appearing in the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
