New survey finds Virginia's youth tuned in to antismoking ads

An 18-month-old statewide campaign to discourage smoking and tobacco use among the next generation of Virginians is paying off, a new Harris survey shows, with overall awareness of the campaign now up to 75% of Virginia youth aged 10-17.

Young Virginians say the antismoking ads developed by Work, Inc., Richmond, Virginia, on behalf of the Virginia Tobacco Settlement Foundation, are, "Cool, meaningful, believable, truthful, easy to understand, eye-catching."
