Pantothenate auxotroph of M. tuberculosis protects guinea pigs

According to a study from the United States, "We developed a live, fully attenuated Mycobacterium tuberculosis vaccine candidate strain with two independent attenuating auxotrophic mutations in leucine and pantothenate biosynthesis."
