States awarded grant for colorectal cancer prevention educational program

Thanks to a cooperative agreement between the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation (CRPF), CRPF will work with colorectal cancer stakeholders in Maryland, Nebraska and Ohio to help accomplish colorectal cancer screening objectives in the state comprehensive cancer control plan.

The 5-year agreement totaling $1.5 million offers selected states the opportunity of technical assistance and funding for a 1-year state-level collaboration among diverse colorectal cancer practitioners, administrators, educators and advocates that culminates in a Dialogue for Action conference focused on enhancing prevention and...
