First patient enrolled in surveillance study of carotid artery stenting system

Cordis Endovascular, a division of Cordis Corp., a Johnson & Johnson company, announced that a patient in Newport Beach, California, is the first to enroll in the company's surveillance study of its carotid artery stenting system for treatment of patients with carotid artery disease at high-risk for adverse events from carotid endarterectomy.
