Promising data presented on phase 2 trial drug for superficial bladder cancer

Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SPPI) announced encouraging efficacy and safety data from the ongoing multi-center phase 2 trial of EOquin as a single agent in patients with recurrent superficial bladder cancer refractory to at least one prior treatment regimen. The data were presented at the Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium. The abstract, entitled "Intravesical EOquin in the Treatment of Superficial Bladder Cancer," and additional clinical data were presented by J. Alfred Witjes from the University Medical Center Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
