Pharmaceutical company comments on results of coronary artery disease study

King Pharmaceuticals reported that data from the Prevention of Events with Angiotensin-Converting-Enzyme Inhibitors (PEACE) trial released at the recent American Heart Association meeting failed to demonstrate that trandolapril confers a therapeutic benefit for patients with stable coronary artery disease or slightly reduced left ventricular function.

PEACE is a large-scale, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial that evaluated the benefits of adding angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE) inhibitor trandolapril 4 mg to modern conventional therapy.
