Bristol-Myers expects to file two additional new drug applications by year end

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. reiterated on November 17, 2004, it was on track to file two new drug applications by the end of the year, one for its diabetes treatment muraglitazar and the other for rheumatoid arthritis medicine abatacept. The company added that entecavir, an investigational Hepatitis B treatment it filed 2 months ago with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has been granted priority review by the agency. That means the FDA will make a decision on entecavir's application within 6 months instead of the typical 10 months.
