Oscient Pharmaceuticals Corporation reported financial results for the third quarter ended Sept. 25, 2004. The quarter was highlighted by the Sept. 8, 2004, commercial launch of the company's lead product, Factive (gemifloxacin mesylate) tablets, for the treatment of acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis (AECB) and mild to moderate community-acquired pneumonia (CAP).
