Household costs attributable to AIDS in Chad are devastating. "This paper assesses the economic costs of AIDS at the household level in Chad, one of the poorest countries in the world. "One hundred and ninety-three AIDS patients living in four different regions were found by case identification at hospital level and through community based organizations providing psycho-social relief.
