Diagnostic technology company's HIV test remains choice of U.S hospitals

MedMira Inc. (TSX Venture: MIR, NASDAQ:MMIRF) announced that the results of the 2004 U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) HIV Rapid Testing performance evaluation showed that MedMira's Reveal Rapid HIV-1 Antibody Test (Reveal) remains the test of choice in U.S. hospitals for the second consecutive year. The 2004 CDC study asked participants to evaluate a panel of HIV-positive and negative donor specimens, that were provided by the CDC, using the rapid HIV test utilized at their facility.
