Study 1: Study results show acculturation level influences pregnant Latinas' risk of cesarean delivery.
Researchers with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; the University of the Western Cape, in Cape Town, South Africa; the University of California, San Francisco; and the Oregon Department of Human Services looked at "the association of acculturation and cesarean section after adjusting for clinical and nonclinical factors that could influence clinical discretion in performing the surgery."
