Fast track status received for VLD-Glucagon

DiObex, Inc., a biotechnology company developing therapeutics for the treatment of metabolic diseases, announced that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has granted fast track status to one of the company's lead drug candidates, Very Low Dose Glucagon (VLD-Glucagon), to prevent hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) associated with insulin intensification in type 1 diabetes.

Glucagon, a naturally occurring hormone, plays a major role in the body's defenses against hypoglycemia, which is a frequent side effect of insulin use.
