Merit Medical receives U.S. FDA clearance for Impress catheter

Merit Medical Systems Inc. (MMSI) announced that it received U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) clearance to market its new Impress catheter.

The Merit Impress is a new line of diagnostic, peripheral catheters that provide clinicians with several new features. The new accordion design, insert-molded hub and strain relief minimize kinking and provide improved steering capability with wet, gloved hands. High repeatability of braid pattern provides premier flexibility without compromising steerability.
