Body mass index of healthy men is compared with healthy women in U.S.

The body mass index of healthy men is compared with that of healthy women in a report in a recent issue of the International Journal of Obesity.

A researcher in the United States conducted a study "to compare the distributions of body mass index (BMI) in relatively healthy nonsmoking men and women in the United States using cross-sectional national survey data from the Third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES III)."
