Researchers from Center for Disease Control report on findings in scabies epidemiology

New investigation results, "Nosocomial scabies," are detailed in a study published in Journal of Hospital Infection. "Scabies is a parasitic dermatosis with a worldwide distribution. This infestation affects millions of people annually and may cause large nosocomial outbreaks with considerable morbidity among patients and healthcare workers," researchers in Athens, Greece report.
