Genta Announces Closing of Common Stock Offering

Genta Incorporated (NASDAQ:GNTA) announced that the Company has closed the previously announced offering of 30 million shares of common stock for gross proceeds totaling approximately $11 million before fees and expenses. The shares were sold pursuant to the Company's registration statement on Form S-3 declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 11, 2004. Rodman & Renshaw, LLC served as the placement agent for the offering.
