New FDA Orphan Drugs: Nitroimidazole PA-824, 3'-deoxyadenosine, Iobenguane I 131

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted orphan drug designation for nitroimidazole PA-824 for the treatment of tuberculosis, 3'-deoxyadenosine for the treatment of TdT-positive acute lymphocytic leukemia, and iobenguane I 131 for the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors.
