OMRIX Biopharmaceuticals Provides Update on its Fibrin Patch Product Candidate

OMRIX Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. ("OMRIX" or the "Company")(NASDAQ: OMRI), a fully-integrated biopharmaceutical company that develops and markets biosurgical and immunotherapy products, announced that it has received a letter from the Food and Drug Administration providing the Company approval to commence a Phase II clinical trial in the U.S. for its Fibrin Patch product candidate in mild to moderate bleeding. The Company anticipates that the trial will commence in the second quarter of 2008 (2Q08).
In October 2007, the Company announced the results of its Phase 1 clinical trial with the Fibrin Patch as an adjunct to hemostasis in 10 patients in Israel. In November 2007,...
