Investigators at University of New Mexico have published new data on hantavirus
Published in Medical Letter on the CDC and FDA, April 13th, 2008
"When the smaller of them is exceeded, the hantavirus infection vanishes without extinguishing the mice population. When the larger is exceeded, the entire mice population vanishes," wrote G. Cameloneto and colleagues, University of New Mexico.
The researchers concluded: "These results suggest the possibility of control of the spread of the epidemic by introducing predators in areas of mice colonies in a suitable way...
