University of North Carolina Doctor Receives National Institute of Health (NIH) Mentored Career Development Award

Dr. Samantha Meltzer-Brody, assistant professor in the psychiatry department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, received the National Institute of Health (NIH) Mentored Career Development Award (K23) for her study entitled "HPA Stress Reactivity and Genetic Influences in Postpartum Depression." The NIH created this award to support the career development of those who have made a commitment to focus their research endeavors on patient-oriented research.
Dr. Meltzer-Brody is the co-director of the Perinatal Psychiatry Program of the UNC Center for Women's Mood Disorders. She specializes in treating reproductive psychiatric issues...
