New pneumonia therapy study results from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Department of Pulmonary Medicine described

New research, 'Stimulated innate resistance of lung epithelium protects mice broadly against bacteria and fungi,' is the subject of a report. "Pneumonia is a serious problem worldwide. We recently demonstrated that innate defense mechanisms of the lung are highly inducible against pneumococcal pneumonia," scientists in the United States report.
