Reports from L. Brammer and Co-Researchers Add New Data to Research in Influenza A Virus, Subtype H1N1

2011 MAR 6 -- "The emergence in April 2009 and subsequent spread of the 2009 pandemic influenza A (H1N1) virus resulted in the first pandemic of the 21st century. This historic event was associated with unusual patterns of influenza activity in terms of the timing and persons affected in the United States throughout the summer and fall months of 2009 and the winter of 2010," scientists writing in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases report.
