Research from Korea, Japan and the South Korea add new data to angiology body of knowledge

New findings from Korea, Japan and the South Korea describe advances in angiology.

Study 1: A report, "Topical lidocaine effectively reduced the increase of systolic blood pressure after side-clamping of the aorta in off-pump cardiac surgery," is newly published data in Acta Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica. "Side-clamping of the ascending aorta during off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery (OPCAB) may be associated with a significant increase in systemic blood pressure which may rarely result in aortic dissection.
