Nventa Wins Challenge to U.S. Patents for Core Fusion Technology

Nventa Biopharmaceuticals Corporation (TSX: NVN) announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued Reexamination Certificates for patents U.S. 6,335,183 and U.S. 6,338,952, concluding the ex-parte reexaminations process, and allowing both patents to be maintained in amended form. These patents form the basis of Nventa's proprietary CoVal(TM) technology platform, from which the Company's product candidate pipeline has been generated, and allow patent exclusivity through 2019. Additional patents owned by Nventa relating to HspE7, the Company's lead investigational therapeutic vaccine for human papillomavirus (HPV)-related diseases, allow patent exclusivity through 2021....
