Medical alliance offers tips for avoiding stomach flu

Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea that lasts 1 to 2 days may be symptoms of a highly contagious virus that can disrupt a vacation or business trip, as many attendees of the American Medical Association (AMA) Alliance conference found in February.

Attendees of the AMA Alliance National Leadership Development Conference held in Chicago, Illinois, at a hotel in the city became ill with what is known as norovirus, the same virus that had an impact on the cruise ship business a few years ago and is frequently spread through improper food handling.
