New life sciences study findings reported from General Hospital, Department of General Surgery

Fresh data on life sciences are presented in the report "Laparoscopic appendectomy during pregnancy: between personal experiences and scientific evidence." According to recent research from Alcazar de San Juan, Spain, "Although laparoscopic appendectomy is a safe and effective procedure for management of acute appendicitis, data about the feasibility and safety during pregnancy are limited. We aimed to study our experience in this field and to review the scientific evidence available. All patients undergoing laparoscopic appendectomy during pregnancy, from January 2003 to December 2005, were included."
