Decas Botanical Synergies Settles Patent Law Suit on Favorable Terms

Decas Botanical Synergies (DBS) and its parent, Decas Cranberry Products, Inc., have settled a patent law suit brought by Bio-Nutra Technologies, Inc., the maker of CranMAX(R), in which Bio-Nutra claimed that DBS's PACran product infringed a Bio-Nutra patent covering cranberry-based dietary supplements.

From the beginning, DBS maintained that neither the PACran product nor its unique method of manufacture infringed Bio-Nutra's patent. Following an extensive pre-trial factual investigation that supported DBS's position, Bio-Nutra has now agreed to dismiss its claims against DBS and has signed an agreement not to bring similar lawsuits against DBS in the future.
