Sabrina Brierton Johnson Will Appeal Jury Verdict in Her Children's Motrin Product Liability Case against Johnson & Johnson and McNeil Consumer & Specialty Pharmaceuticals

Sabrina Brierton Johnson, age 11, will appeal the jury's verdict which was announced on July 17, 2008 in her Children's Motrin product liability case against Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) and McNeil Consumer & Specialty Pharmaceuticals, a division of McNeil-PPC which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. Her complaint for damages, filed on December 28, 2004 by her parents and guardians ad litems, Ken and Joan Brierton Johnson, alleged strict product liability, negligence and personal injury as a consequence of taking Children's Motrin and suffering a Stevens Johnson Syndrome allergic reaction which left her blind, among other serious injuries, at age six.
