IT company granted its 6th U.S. patent for microarray image analysis

BioDiscovery, Inc., a provider of software solutions for microarray research, was granted U.S. patent 6,839,454 for system and method in automatically identifying sub-grids in a microarray on January 4, 2005.

This patent is the company's sixth in a series of patents covering fundamental image processing and related visualization methods used in performing microarray analysis. In particular, this newly issued patent covers the fundamental steps of precisely and accurately identifying locations of spots in microarray images.
