Studies describe new findings in coronary artery bypass research

Investigators in Canada, the United States and Japan have published new coronary artery bypass data.

Study 1: On-pump coronary artery bypass is associated with poor endothelial progenitor cell function compared to off-pump surgery.

"Off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting may result in fewer myocardial and vascular complications than on-pump," cardiovascular surgeons in Canada explained.
